The Giant Softshell Turtle is a very large turtle species growing over 200 pounds.

Killer Catfish[]
While searching for the Goonch Catfish, Jeremy Wade accidentally catches a 200 pound giant softshell turtle. The tank-like beast attempts to attack someone on the beach as it is no longer in a good mood. Jeremy then returns the turtle and shortly afterward he catches a Goonch.
Mekong Mutilator[]
This fish was a suspect in Mekong Mutilator, but it was dismissed after Wade said it was too endangered to have perpetrated numerous attacks.
Return of the Killer Catfish[]
Jeremy catches another one accidentally in Season 9. Hoping that it is a sign of a Goonch, Jeremy feels like he is in luck. He does later hook something that may well have been a goonch catfish but the fish gets away.
