Episode Description[]
Angler Jeremy Wade ventures deep into the heart of Central America in search of a man-sized killer said to leap into boats and cause fatal injuries as it knocks fishermen unconscious and smashes their bones.
Episode Summary[]
Jeremy searches for a large species of tarpon that supposedly jumps out of the water and knocks fishermen out of their boats. He is confronted with one on the first day of fishing, but has no idea what it is. He soon finds these fish to be Atlantic tarpon living in the brackish waters of Nicaragua. He then has one of his longest battles yet in a foot powered raft using a fly rod in a remote river with a 130 pound tarpon. In the end he brings it in.
Trivia[]
- This episode is similar to some episodes featuring the Arapaima, as the attack is similar. Also, the sequence where Jeremy tries to bring in the Tarpon is somewhat akin to the finale of "Body Snatcher."
