Well, the River Monsters series finale posed the theory about Arapaima being in Asia, but ultimately that theory was debunked (we all know it was actually the Tapah or Sareng. So why categorize Arapaima as being from Asia? I hope you didn't catch a virus from that anonymous IP address who put false categories on Piraiba and Discus Ray (and thus I gave a one-month block).
No, I guess that was a mistake. Rumors still exist of Asian Arapaima, but I guess it was not assumed to have been a likely culprit (even though he actually dismissed the Sareng too at the end of the episode). I wasn't sure whether or not it should have been in the category, but yha, I'll just remove it.
Looks like I'll finally be able to catch up with Dark Waters: just zoomed forward on Dish Network's Guide for Discovery Channel and saw that the first two episodes will rerun there on Saturday morning, May 4th. And I just hit the DVR button to not miss them!
I noticed that the Rules page was also duplicated in River Monsters Wiki:Rules. So, I merged the differences between both and put the merged version into River Monsters Wiki:Rules (it's standard practice for wikis to have their rules on a non-mainspace page, so as not to be treated as an article), then turned Rules into a redirect to the other one. Now I have a problem: Rules has three comments and I cannot find how to migrate such comments to the other page's talk page (so as to preserve the history of such comments) without omitting the timestamps (which are not visible; only datestamps are visible, and I cannot find how to figure out the exact hour:minute:second of each one of those three comments so as to manually stamp them into the migrated talk page). Any help about this? Shall we ask either one of the two Admirals or The shy platypi regarding this?
This had to do with me not being very smart and doing dumb things with the site navigation. Yha, I'm not sure what to do. The comments are still important history, but we can remove them if there isn't another way.
When I got to my Dish Hopper DVR and hit play on Puppy Bowl XV, I saw an ad for a new Jeremy Wade show: Dark Waters. It is scheduled for premiere April 20, 2019. Surprisingly, the Animal Planet website does not yet have any page alluding to the new series, and Google does not return me any images related to the new show (not even the title logo).
OK, now for the real question: Should I rename this wiki to “River Monsters, Mighty Rivers, & Dark Waters Wiki”? Or would you suggest another, not-quite-long alternative?
I almost wanna say that sounds a little too long. I'll try to think of something else. We could just change it back to River Monsters Wiki and say it encompasses Mighty Rivers and Dark Waters. We could also just call it Jeremy Wade Wiki or something. Neither of those sound too good. Do you have any suggestions?
I would be OK with River Monsters Wiki, as it was originally; or maybe I would suggest either "River Monsters Wiki et al" or "River Monsters & Co. Wiki". And clarify on the Main Page that it also covers Jungle Hooks, Mighty Rivers, and the upcoming Dark Waters. I also would like input here from the other admins (Admiral Warsilver and company)
I noticed you deleted some potential spam page. If this was the first attempt by someone at vandalizing this wiki (and fortunately a failed one), I hope it is the last. Shall we call the Piraiba? Or the Pacu or Candiru, should the next vandal be a male person?
You might have better memory about the episodes, so maybe you're the more adept one to start an article, while I can figure out the more technical stuff (scientific name, etc.) to complement the article.
