Lake Monster[]
The Muskellunge (or Muskie) appears in the premiere of Season 7, Canadian Horror". Jeremy Wade investigates a similar report to the Lake Illiamna Monster in Season 2. In this case, people reported seeing 20 foot long water serpents. Jeremy narrowed his search to the muskellunge, the apex predator of the region. Apparently some of them swim in single file, making the illusion of a serpent. Also they have been known to attack humans.
The hunt[]
Jeremy then decides to hunt the muskie down, however he is well aware of its legendary status and its nickname, "the fish of 10,000 casts". He sets out to find it, a few thousand casts later he attracts one, however it leaves without biting. Tracking his casts, once he nears 10,000 he feels a burst of hope, however once he approaches 15,000 he starts to lose it. Jeremy sees more fish, but they don't bite. Finally he travells to Eagle Lake, where the myths started, and makes an offering on Spirit Rock where the beast was seen. Then he uses a weak line in an attempt to catch any fish. He then remarkably hooks into a muskie and manages to bring it in. After he gets a good look at it he notes now remarkable the catch was.
