Season 1: The reviews for Mysteries of the Deep were significantly lower than all of Jeremy's previous shows, excluding Jungle Hooks and Jungle Hooks India, which do not have enough reviews to make an accurate estimate as to the response. Many of the fans who reviewed the show expressed disappointment at the fact the show does not deal with fish, but, rather, ocean mysteries in general. Other fans also said that Jeremy wasn't shown enough, and that he would talk to the audience for a while before other scientists would come on, making the program focus too heavily on researching a particular mystery and not enough on Jeremy. Despite this, reviews are still positive at 60-70% on average throughout IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes. A few fans have said in their reviews that nothing Jeremy does can be bad, which has been viewed by critics to be blindly supportive without actually giving thought as to the actual quality of the show. Some people, however, gave reviews saying that the show touches upon interesting subjects.
