Killer Snakehead[]

In the third episode of River Monsters Season 2, Jeremy Wade investigates the Snakehead "invasion" of the United States. His initial subject is the Bullseye Snakehead. However, its larger relative, the Northern Snakehead, is also causing an enormous problem.

Description[]

The Northern Snakehead can grow to around 3.25 feet, and, potentially, up to 4.9 feet, the same length as the largest species of the genus, the Giant Snakehead. Large Northern Snakehead can weigh around 17 pounds. They have a distinctive pattern, and, like the other Snakehead species featured in River Monsters, possess highly elongated dorsal and anal fins.
