In the episode, Jeremy Wade traveled to New Britain, an island in Papua New Guinea, to investigate the aforementioned mysterious attacks.
He started his quest in the ocean where the attacks came from, however, he soon moved on to the Estuary and the River where the epicenter of the attacks was located. The region is known for its spear fishermen, which encountered something that they called the Mogilu. Apparently, there were few who knew about this shadowy beast, despite centuries of knowledge, and it may have even been new to science. Other local spearfishermen were not even aware of a creature called a Mogilu. Wade tracked down a researcher working in the area and learned that it was the almost completely new to science. The river began to swell after a storm, and Jeremy didn't catch it until the very last minute when he fled into the brackish estuary to escape the storm.
