The Saltwater Crocodile (Crocodylus porosus) or Saltie is a species of Crocodile that lives in Australia and some other places.

Death Down Under[]
Despite appearing in multiple River Monsters episodes, the most significant appearance of this River Monster is in Season 8 Episode 2 "Death Down Under", where the Saltie is assumed to have ultimately disposed of the victims of the plane crash. However, the Box Jellyfish was probably responsible for their deaths.
Description[]
Growing to around 20 feet in length, it is the largest extant species of reptilian predator in the world, even larger than the Nile Crocodile. Saltwater Crocodiles also have the strongest bite of any animal alive today, with their bite force being similar to the estimated bite of T. rex
The Saltwater Crocodile gets its name because it is also found in Salt Water along with rivers.
